OCR: Variables The user can define variables in Curvus Pro. It is in facivariable parameters which are helpful to draw a function for differents values of this parameter For example you can draw the following function 3+kx2 for k=1 A In order to define them there are two possibilites: Use the toolbar Variables (cf corresponding chapter) In dialog of curve definition click on the button New Variable... (cf dialog New Variable Once the variable is defined, you can create a new curve with an equation containing the name of the variable Example: Define variable "n" which vary between and l 3 in 5 steps of0.5 Create then a curve Q equation 'sin(nx)" Five curves are plotted for the values 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3 of "n": Note that only 2D curves can refer to variables user-defined functions or constants ...
